If you are not familiar with the #the100dayproject, it’s a global project where thousands of creatives commit to doing something creative for 100 days straight!!

Why I decided to join the #the100dayproject

I’ve participated in the project in the past but have never made it to 100 days!

Last year, I attempted to use my Canon Rebel to shoot a photo a day. I did ok, I just fizzled out around day 20something… I think. I am going to give the project a go again this year, and have decided to work on a tiny painting a day.

My painting won’t always be detailed or finished, but I have decided to focus more on my art this year and thought, “why not join the #the100dayproject!”.

Getting ready to paint a tiny painting for 100 days starting April 2nd!

Painting a tiny painting a day will help me with practice, to develop my artistic style and will give me time for creative play without having the pressure of needing to create a finished piece for a client, project or under pressure.

I’ll be able to play with color, form and subject matter. Just free, open and low pressure.

I’m excited!

How I will share my daily tiny paintings

Here’s a sneak peek at Day 1 of my tiny paintings, An abstract acrylic painting that is loose, simple and was fun to begin with! I’m excited to see what day 100 looks like!
